Musicking with Generative Models
As generative AI tools for music become increasingly capable, autonomous, and accessible, how can artists work with them to extend their creative processes without compromising their sense of agency? Drawing on experiments in music, improvisation, and sound, we’ll explore various ways of interfacing with AI instruments and co-creative agents.
This event offers a great chance to see how Amherst alumni are putting their Amherst education to work in a rapidly evolving, AI-driven world.

The event will be moderated by Ravi Krishnaswami and Jessica Strauss, who have worked together testing AI music platforms and will be representing the Music Department at Amherst College.
